The Brooklyn Bridge
The bridges are so important to New York and each has it's own distinct design. The most famous, of course, is the Brooklyn Bridge that stretches from downtown Manhattan to Brooklyn Heights. This picture was taken from the Brooklyn side toward Manhattan. For spectacular views, walk the bridge as the sun sets. Always be sure to stay on the pedestrian side of the walkway or you can be involved in a major bike accident.

I've had some great experiences with my family over the past few years in New York City. I'm starting this blog to share pictures and helpful information for those who are planning a trip or for people who just love all things New York.
Our love affair with the city began in 2006 as we were driving home from a family vacation in Cape Cod. We caught a brief glimpse of the skyline from the highway and even from a distance we were blown away. Since that time, my husband, my son, and myself have gone to NYC five times. We've done many of the "touristy" things and have had many great New York moments. We're looking forward to our sixth trip very soon!
